From concept to reality
Have a question?
Here are the answers!
What permits and documents are required to organize a drone show in Dubai and other emirates?

First of all, we need NOC from landowner, event organizer and, in some cases, airspace operator (if flight happens near airport or other sensitive infrastructure). Then we use it to submit applications to aviation authorities like DCAA, GCAA and Ministry of Defense.
Since regulations vary by emirate, it’s best to start planning at least 2–6 weeks in advance to ensure all necessary paperwork is secured on time.
Can a drone show be organized near iconic locations like Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, or Expo City Dubai?

Yes, we can conduct drone shows near Dubai’s most famous landmarks, such as Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, or Expo City Dubai, Bluewaters but such shows require special approvals due to strict airspace and landowners regulations. These locations often fall within restricted flight zones, meaning additional coordination with authorities like the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) is necessary.
Private entities managing these landmarks must also grant approval. For example, a show near Burj Khalifa would require clearance from Emaar, the building’s developer, in addition to aviation and municipal permits. Similarly, Palm Jumeirah, managed by Nakheel, may have its own restrictions. Some areas have permanent no-fly zones, so feasibility must be assessed early in the planning process.
How do weather conditions in the UAE, such as wind and heat, affect drone shows?

The UAE’s climate is generally favorable for drone shows, with minimal rainfall and clear skies throughout most of the year. Regarding wind conditions, we operate within safe limits, avoiding flights in winds exceeding 5–10 m/s to ensure maximum stability and precision. Additionally, we recommend scheduling shows at least one hour after sunset or later, when visibility is optimal and temperatures begin to drop, providing the best experience for audiences.
What are the site requirements for launching drones in the UAE? Can a show be performed from water or a rooftop?

We ensure that every drone show in the UAE begins with a carefully prepared launch site, guaranteeing both safety and precision.
The takeoff area must be flat, stable, and free of obstacles such as buildings, trees, or uneven terrain. For every 100 drones, we require approximately 50 m², ensuring smooth takeoff and flight stability. While football fields, beaches, roads, and parking lots often serve as ideal locations, we can also operate from water-based platforms or rooftops, provided additional approvals and safety measures are in place.
To ensure safety, a 50-meter exclusion zone must surround the takeoff area, keeping spectators at a safe distance. The site should be clear of objects that could interfere with GPS signals or create magnetic disturbances. Additionally, the launch location must be 5-8 km away from airports and military zones, depending on local regulations. Radio communication towers or antennas (WiMAX, mobile networks, etc.) should be at least 70 meters away from the takeoff and flight areas to prevent signal interference.
Before each show, we conduct a thorough site inspection, ensuring a debris-free and stable ground surface. If necessary, custom platforms are prepared to optimize conditions for takeoff and landing, ensuring flawless execution of every performance.
